Guided ocean fishing on the BC coast - salmon, halibut, lingcod & more.
The Vessel
Our vessel is rigged and ready for a safe, comfortable day on the water. Hali Hunter Charters' boat is a 24.5' Harbercraft Kingfisher boat well suited to fishing the coastal waters of Vancouver Island. It is powered by a 225 HP Yamaha outboard motor, and onboard features including a range of electronics. It is also equipped with downriggers to give you access to the biggest Salmon and an anchor for fishing those bottom monsters.
Your Captain
The ocean has been calling Sean since childhood. Raised on salmon fishing from as far back as he can remember, that pull only grew stronger, eventually bringing him out to BC in his 20s, where he's been working these coastal waters ever since.
Over 25 years he's fished the length of this coast, from the remote islands off Prince Rupert all the way down through the passages and inlets of Vancouver Island. That kind of range means he knows where the fish are, what they're doing, and how to put you on them, no matter the season.
"The ocean is in my blood. I love getting to share its knowledge and have a great adventure each time we go out, I'm happy to have you onboard!"
Safety is always the first priority. Every trip is run professionally with all required equipment on board and up to date.
On the Water
Happy clients, big fish, and good days on the West Coast.
What Guests Are Saying
"Very friendly and knowledgable. Tries to make it a great experience for you. Not in a rush to get back as soon as your time is up. Great time."
"The captain kept us in the catching mode almost the entire time. Caught and released many smaller sized chinook and a keeper cod. We were hoping for a halibut but was a little early in the season. Captain Sean is a hard worker and has lots of interesting stories."
"This was the first time I've done a fishing charter like this. Sean F. is very experienced and made our trip very enjoyable. We had a very good haul at the end of the including a 21-pound Chinook! Great trip -- highly recommend and would do it again!"
